Group Lessons

Group swim lessons for swimmers 3-6 years old are available from our courteous lifeguard and coaching staff. Small group swim lessons are geared towards learn-to-swim and safe-water play for children ages 3-6 years old. Children should be able to leave the parent/guardian during instruction. No swim experience is necessary. *Parent/guardian is expected to remain at the pool for the duration of the lesson or as long as the swimmer is in the water. 

We are offering two sessions of lessons for the 2025 season. Lessons are normally scheduled Monday through Thursday during each session, with the exception of the first week of lessons. The first session will start on a Tuesday and run through Friday for only the first week of that session. Then back to the normal schedule.  Fridays of each session are reserved for makeup dates due to inclement weather, with exception of July 4. Swim instructors are coaches and experienced swimmers from the KRSC Water Wizards Swim Team.

Lesson Sessions

NOTE: If you are registering more than one child for lessons you must fill out a registration form for EACH child you are registering. 

3 Week Session - (June 17 - July 3) Register HERE

Consists of 12 lessons at 30 minutes each. This session will be begin Tuesday, June 17. The first week of the session will run Tuesday, June 17 through Friday, June 20, from 10:30 to 11am. The following two weeks of the this lessons session will run  Monday through Thursday from 10:30am to 11am. Friday, June 27 is reserved for make-up day due to inclement weather. No lessons Friday, July 4. 

3 Week Pricing:

$84 per swimmer for KRSC members

$144 per swimmer for non-members (This covers the daily non-member guest pass for the duration of the lesson for each registered participant/swimmer. Non-members may only remain at the pool and swim for the duration of the lesson, and only registered participants are permitted to be in the pool or baby pool). 

2 week session - (July 7 - July 17) Register HERE

Consists of 8 lessons at 30 minutes each, Monday through Thursday from 10:30 am to 11:00am. Fridays are reserved for make-up days due to inclement weather. 

2 Week Pricing:

$56 per swimmer for KRSC members

$96 per swimmer for non-members (This covers the daily non-member guest pass for the duration of the lesson for each registered participant/swimmer. Non-members may only remain at the pool and swim for the duration of the lesson, and only registered participants are permitted to be in the pool or baby pool). 

*Registration is not complete until payment is received. Payment can be dropped off in the pool house or brought to first day of group session. Make checks payable to: KRST

Please note groups of swimmers in each session are kept small so that participants can receive some individual attention from the instructors. Children are grouped by skill level, not necessarily by age. Grouping levels may range from water adjustment to beginning stroke development. Groupings are dynamic and children may be moved from one group to another to facilitate appropriate instruction.

Children not ready to leave their parent, or not ready for small group instruction may contact the staff at the front desk of the pool for a list of a available private lessons coaches. 

If you have an older swimmer, private lesson are available or they may also want to check out the swim team!

Private Lessons

If you cannot attend group lessons, have a child not ready to leave their parent or a shy swimmer, there are junior coaches and/or lifeguards that would love to teach your child how to swim.  Please check at the pool front desk for a list of available private lessons coaches. You can contact them and set up your lessons directly with them.  

Payment for any private lesson is to be provided to the coach before the swimmer and coach enter the water to begin the lesson. No lesson will be provided without payment. Lesson pricing will range from $20-$50 per 30 minute session based on the level of experience for each coach, and each coach's rate is non-negotiable. Note: Non-members are responsible for payment of an additional $10 per session to cover KRSC Guest Passes for the non-member swimmer and parent, only the swimmer will be allowed to enter the water. Once the lesson ends, the non-member swimmer must exit the water and exit the pool deck.
