KRSC June 26th - 2nd 2019 Newsletter
Dear Kings Ridge Parents and Swimmers,
We entered week two of our competitive season this past Saturday with a strong meet against Rolling Hills with a final score of Rolling Hills 232.5 - Kings Ridge 178.5. We really enjoyed watching your swimmers improve, cheer, and compete!
First off, we want to include an omission from last week’s results against Truro: Garrison Cade set the KRSC Team Record in the 50 Back in the 11 -12 Boys with a time of 35.05 seconds breaking Wesley Speaks record of 35.49 seconds from 1991. Congratulations Garrison!!!

After considering all the hard work our swimmers put into being good teammates, dropping time, and swimming well in practice, we chose four Wizards of the Week! We chose Haley Novotny for her dedication to improving in all four of her events as she has posted lifetime bests in all four races (more than once in some races) and she improved in both the B Meet and A Meet last week. We chose Grace Bondanella for her positive spirit at practice and meets as she is often found greeting every swimmer at morning practice with a friendly “Good Morning” and during meets you can always find her cheering for her teammates. Dylan Krekeler for his large improvements in free and back (He dropped more than 7 seconds in each) and he swam his first 25 Fly earlier this week, and Ryan Belmonti for his dedication to learning to swim all four strokes (last week Ryan competed in 25 Breast and scored for the Water Wizards with his third place finish) and his willingness to learn to practice. Congratulations to all our Wizards of the Week!

Finally, we want to say THANK YOU to all of our meet officials, table workers and parent volunteers! None of these meets would go on without volunteers and you are the reason our swimmers have an opportunity to race competitively!
So far we have a total of 263 time improvements this season! Go Water Wizards!
We are pumped to swim Springboard tomorrow morning and we look forward to a spirited and competitive meet!
